Durham Arts Council Building Accessibility:
Parking: Handicap Parking is available in the south side parking lot off of Morris Street. Please note that Morris is a one way street. For directions click here.
Drop-Off: Guests with limited mobility may be dropped off in front of the Durham Arts Council or in the parking lot off of Morris Street.
Building Navigation: The Durham Arts Council building has three levels which are accessible by elevator. A complimentary wheelchair is available inside the building on request. The building is fitted with ramps, handrails and ADA compliant front doors.
Restrooms: Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on all three levels of the building
Seating: The PSI Theatre in the DAC building offers accessible seating in an integrated setting.
The DAC School Education and Classes:
DAC strives to make all course content accessible to students. Please discuss any special needs you may have with the school registrar upon registration. 919-560-2726
Sign Interpreters and Audio Description:
DAC programs can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing disabilities or audio description for guests with visual impairments. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event.
DAC can provide large print versions of most DAC documents upon request.
