Because the ARTS are for everyone.

One child hits a drum on stage as four other children dance around her. They all swear head scarves

Whether you need creative and educational childcare for a teacher work-day, or for a full summer; Durham Arts Council’s camps are flexible, fun, and open to kids from Kindergarten through teen ages.

Durham Arts Council offers classes for artists of all ages and abilities. Our teachers are experienced and accepting and are ready to help you achieve your individual goals.

The Durham Arts Council CAPS (Creative Arts in Public + Private Schools) program offers multi-disciplinary, artist-led programs to engage the broader Triangle community. We believe that anyone, of any age, should have exposure to the arts.

Programs encourage participants to become inspired, reap the many wellness benefits of arts participation, and achieve a sense of creativity, mastery and lasting social bonds.

CAPS artists work within the community to provide programs in early childhood centers, preschools, after-schools, Senior Living and Care Communities, festivals, libraries, theatres and businesses.
