DAC Facility

Rental Procedures and Policies

When you decide to have your event at the Durham Arts Council, we will generate a contract. We can send the contract via email, fax or mail to you for immediate approval, confirmation and signing. At this time we will put a ÒholdÓ on the space for 10 (ten) days to allow you to make a decision. At the end of the hold period, we will release that space to be sold unless a signed contract and deposit is received.

At contract signing, we require a 50% deposit, with the balance due 30 days before the event. We accept check or VISA/MasterCard.

All cancellations of reservations by Client after DAC has received a signed contract and deposit require written notification. Client understands and agrees to the following refund policy:

  • Client will receive 100% of the fees paid, less $50.00, if Client gives DAC written notice by at least thirty (30) days before event.
  • Client will receive 75% of the fees paid, less $50.00, if Client gives DAC written notice between thirty (30) and twenty (20) days before event.
  • Client will receive 50% of the fees paid, less $50.00, if Client gives DAC written notice between twenty (20) and five (5) days before event.
  • Client will receive no refund if Client gives written notice less than five (5) days before event, and Client will be charged for all fees described above.
